CPR Rescue
Role: UX Designer, Researcher
Tools: Pen & Paper, Figma
Duration: September 2023- October 2023
Project goal
CPR Rescue is an app and website made for quick access of CPR instructions for on the go or in the office. The goal is to have instructions accessible on any device with clear CPR steps to perform on children and adults.
Audience
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the user I’m designing for and their needs. Primary user groups identified was parents, working class and individuals.
Pain Points
From the interviews I identified most people won’t know what to do if someone needed CPR. The research shows they have pain points from knowing the steps to take and performing CPR in an emergency.
Sketches
Mockups & Low Fidelity Prototypes
User Feedback
I conducted a usability studies with six participants. The first usability study was on the wireframe designs. Insights was gathered to improve the app to be used on a second study of a high fidelity prototype.
Getting Started- Users weren’t sure on how to begin
Language- Users weren’t able to change language
Final Designs
Reflection & Next Steps
From designing CPR Rescue, I learned that there is always going to be changes from the original design of the app to the website but can still make them look similar on the final design. Updates will be needed based on user and peer feedback.
Next Steps
Conduct another round of usability and accessibility studies to see if pain points were fixed.
Add resources to get CPR Certified
Check customer reviews of the app to see if improvements need to be made.
